Mobile Clothing Store @shoproute26

We restored and converted this awesome 1970’s trillium into a Mobile Clothing Store for @shoproute26. Check them out at www.shoproute26.com

The project started off Jennifer (Founder of @shoproute26) having the dream of being able to display her merchandise inside a vintage camper that she can take to event, marketplaces and festivals. Her store was mostly online based online with the occasional pop up market. Wanting to do more retail out of markets and expos, she always wanted a mobile trailer store complete with branding, display shelves, lighting and the right vibe to match her brand.

After our in shop consultation and having Jennifer check out the different styles of campers, we settled on a 1970’s trillium.

We found this trillium from a friend of ours and here are some before photos:

The fun begins!

We stripped down the trillium to its bare shell, removing all the windows, door, vents, side markers, awning and roof vent.

The interior fiberglass was then cut out to remove the closet by the door, the upper cabinet/kitchen cabinet, and widen the area between the rear bench.

The Upper cabinet, Closet and kitchen cabinet are structural so we had to create reinforcing ribs and fiberglassed them to shell.

Butcher block counters made out of pine were made and cut to fit the new base cabinets we built.

Lighting is very important in a display trailer. All of the shelves have led lights to allow clients to see the awesome merchandise!

For an accent wall, we stacked up some pine and created two feature walls, where the closet and the kitchen cabinets were.

To hold up her shelving and hangers, we build customs racks made out of black steel pipe!

Here’s a photo of the shelving and the black steel pipe.

On the exterior we did a white top and a black on the bottom. The belly band was removed and closed up to remove the seam where leaks can potentially come from and we added on a stick on belly band accent.

To power the trailer, we also added a tongue mounted Honda Inverter Generator in the event the venue or marketplace does not have any power. The generator is bolted down to the frame with vibration dampeners to help reduce the vibrations in the camper.

Branding is super important! We do our graphics and vinyl in house and have partners for larger full vehicle or trailer wraps!
